Welcome to Earth in Wire!   I have been creating and selling my handcrafted art since 1978 to thousands of happy customers.

Earth in Wire site uses Shopify and Paypal services online.  You do not have to have or open a Paypal account to be able to pay using PayPal.  Once you click the Paypal link you'll be given the option to use your regular credit or debit card with the Paypal system, as a Guest. International orders must be paid through PayPal.  Other payment options:  If you prefer to not buy online directly,  please email me directly at  with ALL information.  DO NOT include your credit card information in this email.  We will schedule a phone call for payment if you prefer.   Personal checks require 10 business days to clear before order is shipped out.  I accept all major credit cards & you will need to call me to give me information directly if you do not order directly online.  Please note: Custom orders will require a 50% deposit due in advance.

How do I pay?

I may be in a remote location, out on the road, doing shows, etc.  However, I will do my best to ship within 48 hours of items in stock, after payment is applied and cleared.

• Domestic Customers:  I ship by US Postal Service 1st class delivery confirmation, which often requires a signature & it will be insured.  Orders valued $10.00 - $200.00 all shipping charges will be a flat fee of $10.00.  Orders valued over $200.00 will cost flat fee of $15.00

• Expedited shipping is available on request for an additional charge.

• International Customers:  All international orders are shipped US Postal Service 1st Class: however, with no confirmation number or insurance.  (If you would like to add insurance to your purchase contact me prior to checkout and I will add the postage to your order. *If you decline to have this extra service added to your international package, I cannot be held responsible for stolen packages, damages occurring during the shipping process, undelivered items or custom fees.)

• International Mail: Purchase price and shipping costs do not include any customs fees or tariffs. These remain solely and completely the customer’s responsibility and I will not be responsible for those charges. The full retail value of your order will be listed on the customs forms.  It is against the law to mark an item as a gift.

Please note:  Minnesota customer's will incur Sales Tax.

Are your stones natural?

​Yes, I only create with real gemstones & genuine pearls. For example all the opals are 100% Natural Boulder Opals from Queensland Australia.  The Opals are NOT doublet or triplets.  These amazing gems have been hand polished to bring out the beauty of each Opal.  The Opal miners, cutters & polishers are special friends of mine who live both down under & here in the USA.  So these opals have been in the best care.  The Boulder Opal is much more durable than the White Opal due to its matrix.

One line of our few enhanced stones are the dazzling iridescent quartz.  These have been permanently enhanced with titanium to create the stunning cobalt quartz, also called Rainbow Aura Peacock.  Likewise Aqua Aura has been enhanced with gold.  Additional elements can be used to treat quartz, such as indium, titanium and copper.

What metals do you work with?

I create with sterling silver (ss) measured as .0925 amounts of sterling silver,  14kt. and 14kt gold-filled (gf). In addition I use fine silver (fs), which is measured .999 amounts of silver.  Custom orders can be made with any of these metals.

What is gold filled wire? 14kt Gold Filled Wire is a great way to get the look and feel of gold, without the overinflated price.  Let me start by saying gold filled should not be confused with gold-plate, which is only a microscopic film of gold that will wear off.  14 kt gold filled, (rolled gold), is composed of a solid layer of 14 kt gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal core such as jewelers brass.  It is made up of almost the same mixture of metals (usually a brass alloy) used to bring 24kt gold down to 14kt, 10kt, etc.  All gold products I offer meet federal standards for quality and content and are warranted to never tarnish, flake, or wear off under normal use.  It does NOT have nickel in it, which usually is the metal that people can be allergic too.  Customers seem to like the fact that 14/20 gold-filled jewelry "matches" and wears like their 14k pieces, and love that it is more affordable! All that you see and that touches your skin is 14 karat gold.

Will any of the metals turn my skin green? That depends on your body chemistry & your diet.  A general rule:  if you do not have a problem with metal with other lines of jewelry than you will not have a problem with my metals either.

How do I care for my new jewelry?

Just clean jewelry with warm, slightly soapy water & with a gentle toothbrush,  then rinse your jewels in warm water and the same simple care for the Boulder Opal: water, creams & oils will not affect your opal.  However abrasives, scrapes & hard knocks can. So it is best you do not wear your new babble gardening!  I do NOT recommend many jewelry cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners because they may contain a harsh chemicals that could cause damage to the surface of the gemstone.

What metal are the ear wires?

The silver ear wires are sterling silver.  The gold ear wires are 14kt gold filled wire.  14kt ear wires can be added to any earrings.  The cost will vary based on the gold market.

If you are not satisfied & you would like to exchange or return your item, please email me within 7 days of the receipt of the original order at  or call 320-492-8285 with the reason for your return.  The item must be returned to Earth in Wire within 14 days of receipt in it's original condition.   If an item has not been insured on a return and is  lost or damaged in the mail I cannot BE responsible for a refund.  Original shipping & handling fees will not be credited.

If your jewelry doesn’t fit, I will size at no additional charge,  just pay the shipping.
